Ukrlandfarming Grain Elevator in Sumy Region Severely Damaged in Enemy Missile Strike; Employee Injured

Ukrlandfarming Group of Companies reports another deliberate attack by the enemy aimed at destroying Ukraine’s civilian agricultural infrastructure. As a result of a missile strike carried out by Russian forces in the Sumy region, one of the holding company’s grain elevator complexes sustained extensive damage, while substantial quantities of grain stored at the facility were destroyed. Operations at the complex have been completely suspended

One employee was injured during the attack. He received the necessary medical assistance and is currently hospitalized under medical supervision. Emergency response operations are ongoing at the site, along with an assessment of the amount of grain lost and the extent of damage to production facilities and equipment. Due to the severe consequences of the attack, the company has been forced to suspend operations at this grain elevator complex.

This is not the first deliberate enemy attack on Ukrlandfarming’s production facilities and logistics network. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the holding company’s assets have repeatedly been targeted by systematic attacks.

In particular, the Chornobaivska Poultry Farm in the Kherson region, one of the largest and most advanced poultry production facilities in Europe, suffered a complete power outage and blockade in 2022, resulting in the deaths of more than 4 million birds and the subsequent effective destruction of the complex. Last month, the restored Chornobaivska complex was subjected to a devastating attack involving Russian guided aerial bombs.

Ukrlandfarming’s grain elevators and agricultural production facilities have also been repeatedly targeted by the enemy. A number of the Group’s grain storage facilities and poultry farms in the Mykolaiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions have been destroyed or severely damaged by artillery and missile strikes. The aggressor also systematically destroys agricultural machinery, fuel and lubricant storage facilities, as well as regional warehouses containing seeds and crop protection products.

Despite the constant threat and regular attacks, Ukrlandfarming Group of Companies continues its production activities, contributing to Ukraine’s food security, preserving jobs, and supporting the stability of the country’s economy. All incidents involving criminal attacks against the company’s civilian facilities are being duly documented for subsequent submission to international courts.
